The Estimate Is a Programming Tool, Not a Challenge
The Epley and Brzycki equations estimate maximal strength from submaximal repetitions. They will not agree perfectly because rep endurance, exercise selection, technique, and fatigue differ between lifters. This calculator averages both and also shows a conservative 90% training max.
